The 27th International Trade Exhibition "Power & Electrical Engineering" was held in St. Petersburg from 6 - 9 October 2020. The exhibition presented modern developments in the field of electric power engineering, power machine building, industrial lighting engineering, energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies, as well as novelties of electrical products from leading domestic manufacturers and suppliers.
The exhibition has more than 25 years of history and a corresponding "margin of safety", which allowed to organize an interesting exposition, and to attract over 4500 visitors to the exhibition.
This year, due to the restrictive measures for COVID-19, the exhibition was postponed until the fall. Unfortunately, foreign partners and a number of Russian participants could not come to St. Petersburg and take part in the event. However, 50 industry companies preferred the possibility of real communication with customers and suppliers to virtual meetings and presented novelties of electrical and energy products to representatives of all sectors of the economy at Power & Electrical Engineering 2020 Exhibition.

Among the participants: EKRA, PRIST, Radio electronic Technologies Concern (KRET), Pskov Plant for Power Transformers, Krasnodar Plant for Steel-Plastic Goods, ART Engineering Center, SONEL, Nizhny Novgorod Research and Production Association named after M.V.Frunze, Relpol S.A., KAMAZ Industrial Components, SKB EP, INBRES, Algorithm, Aquamarine, Roxtec RU, Agat, ExpertCable, UglichCable Plant, Mikhnevo Plant of Electrical Engineering, and other companies.
The exhibition showcased modern developments in the field of electric power engineering, power machine building, industrial lighting engineering, energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies, as well as novelties of electrical products from leading domestic manufacturers and suppliers.
For the second time a special arena “Presentation Zone” has been organized at the exposition site which helps to attract interested specialists to the event.
On October 6, the Presentation Zone hosted the following events: seminar "Instruments for monitoring and diagnostics of high-voltage electromechanical equipment of our own production" (Organizer: SKB EP LLC) and a presentation by Algorithm JSC.
The second day of the exhibition was dedicated to the cable industry - experts discussed the problems of the industry within the framework of the Business Session "Cable Business 2020" (Organizer: RusCable Media Holding). Due to the current epidemiological regulations, the session was held in a hybrid format - 250 specialists from all over Russia were able to take part in the event online, and another 50 participants were present directly at the site.
On October 7, conference "Monitoring in the modern electric power industry" was held within the framework of the exhibition, organized jointly by SEDATEK and the Scientific and Expert Council of the Working Group of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. During the event, presentations were made by representatives of both power grid organizations and companies producing monitoring systems. The results of the dialogue between the parties will be discussed at the general meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council and SEDATEK.
The participants specifically noted the high level of trade visitors and professional experts at the exhibition in 2020 who were interested in conducting specific negotiations.
