Resuts 2017
The Energetika & Elektrotechnika Exhibition is rightfully considered one of the best venues for demonstrating new power engineering products designed for industrial enterprises, as well as for a constructive dialogue between experts from all sectors of the economy with manufacturers and suppliers of power engineering, electrical and lighting equipment and technologies.
During 24-28 April 2017, St. Petersburg successfully hosted the 24th Energetika & Elektrotechnika International Trade Exhibition. The exhibition has proven that the project, established in 1993, remains relevant. There is a continuously growing interest in the event on the part of state bodies, and Russian and international professional associations and organisations, as well as industry experts.
During 4 days, the exhibition was visited by more than 6500 experts from 15 countries (Russia, Germany, Denmark, Kazakhstan, China, Peru, Poland, Belarus, Serbia, USA, Uzbekistan, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Estonia) and 82 entities of the Russian Federation, of which 86% were top and mid-level managers involved in the decision-making process.
Over 2000 experts became delegates of the V Russian International Energy Forum (RIEF), which forms the basis of the exhibition's business programme. A series of various format congress events took place during the Forum: plenary sessions, scientific and practical conferences, round tables, and technical excursions to industrial enterprises of St. Petersburg.
The opening ceremony was attended by: Deputy Director of the Department of Power Engineering Development of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Andrey Maksimov, Chairman of the Committee for Energy Supply and Engineering of St. Petersburg, Andrey Bondarchuk, Hero of the Russian Federation and Advisor to the General Director of PJSC Rosshelf, Andrey Zvyagintsev, Member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Council, Vladimir Katenev, General Director of Gazprom Energoholding LLC, Denis Fedorov, General Director of PJSC Power Machines, Roman Filippov, President of JSC REP Holding, Tagir Nigmatulin, Consul General of the Czech Republic in St. Petersburg, Karel Kuhnl, Vice-Consul for Trade and Economic Affairs of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in St. Petersburg, Michal Gelbich, Consul General of India in St. Petersburg, Arun Kumar Sharma, Director of RESTEC® Exhibition Company, Igor Gorshkov, and General Director of ExpoForum International, Sergey Voronkov.
The central event of RIEF was the plenary session Energy Security of Russia – the Axiom of Economic Development. According to experts, two tasks need to be carried out to ensure energy security: bringing fuel to consumers (continuous uninterrupted power supply) and upgrading all resources. Innovative technologies need to be introduced for this system to be reliable. "We look for balance between manufacturers and consumers in order to develop in two directions: solving the problem of outdated and inefficient power generation and improving the existing equipment", says Andrey Maksimov, Deputy Director of the Department of Power Engineering Development of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. Denis Fedorov, General Director of Gazprom Energoholding LLC, says that it is important to retain investment appeal, solve the problem of debts in the thermal power sector by bringing the money paid by consumers to resource suppliers, and stimulate the scientific and technical thought for industry development: "We need to set goals to obtain radically new developments by 2025".
In 2017, the exhibition site became not only a place for active communication between industry professionals, but also a place to demonstrate promising product samples and develop new ideas. The Energetika & Elektrotechnika Exhibition, featuring many new products, covered over 10,000 m2. The newest equipment and developments in the energy sector were showcased by more than 160 companies from 21 entities of the Russian Federation and 10 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Turkey and the Czech Republic.
Visitors could see the achievements of domestic producers at exhibition stands of Russian participants, including: Cable Alliance Holding, GORELTEX PLANT, Invertor plant, Leningrad Electromechanical Plant, Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Production Association named after Frunze, Saranskkabel, Khomov Electro (RTR Energiya), Electronmash and others.
Foreign participants included: Benning Power Electronics, VAGO Contact Rus, Gomelenergo, Klinkmann, KEMONT, Uro-Locks Sp. Z o.o., Lampar SLR, Tyco Electronics, PHOENIX CONTACT, and HELUKABEL. The collective exposition of the Czech Republic, headed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, became one of the most visited stands.
For the second year in a row, the exhibition site also featured the BUSINESS CONTACTS CENTER. In 2017, more than 25 purchasing agents took part in its work, including JSC St. Petersburg Heating Grid, JSC LOESK, Gazprom Energoholding LLC, state unitary enterprise St. Petersburg Metro, JSC GlavPeterburgStroy and others. Suppliers and purchasing agents conducted more than 400 negotiations.
